Since it was launched, the Aventador quickly became one of the most appreciated hyper cars on the market thanks to its bold styling, amazing engine and sheer performance figures. However, the $400,000 car was not exquisite enough for some people so customized models started to appear in Europe on the streets of London and Paris. Since 2013 people have been talking about a Gold Lamborghini Aventador with a gold wrap on its body which made it stand out. At first most of us thought that the car was simply wrapped in gold plastic but it seems that this special model was actually wrapped in actual 24k gold foil, thus increasing its value by quite a bit margin.
Gold Lamborghini Aventador Price
If you take a closer look then the car is nothing more than a normal Aventador with a special color scheme which happens to be made out of gold. However, the actual process is quite hard to replicate so there are only a handful of these cars around the World. Of course, there are companies specializing in doing this job and one of these actually did two new models, a normal Aventador as well as its special edition, Super Veloce. The first costs nearly $4 million over the base sticker price of the car while the second, due to the fact it has a lot more details to it, costs nearly $6 million over the $450,000 sticker price, a massive amount of money for any car.
Lamborghini Aventador Review
Let’s start with the “base” version of the Gold Lamborghini Aventador which only comes with the special exterior color and a few other accents. Just as we said, the wrapping is actually made out of pure gold and unlike the first one seen back in 2013 which had a few wrinkles on the gold foil, this model is done perfectly, offering a smooth gold finish from front to back. Its brake calipers as well as part of the wheels have also been modified in order to complete the look. The wheels have been made with cast gold so the gold inserts will not break off at high speed.
The more exclusive version is the SV version which comes with a few more extras. On top of the great looking gold skin which is also found on the usual Aventador, this particular model adds a few things. Firstly, the carbon fiber spoiler has now side gold inserts which make it stand out while in the front, the carbon fiber diffuser comes with two small gold inserts. The wheels are similar to the normal version but the headlights and tail lights are not. The headlights get diamond inserts in them while in the back, the usual plastic wrapping of the tail lights has been made out of sapphire so it should resist the exterior weather much easier.
Besides all of these, the Gold Lamborghini Aventador comes with the usual powertrain and the usual interior equipment, with a small exception for the SV which adds gold stitching on the seats and dashboard.
Gold Lamborghini Aventador Engine
The engine in the car is the same naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 which still is one of the best sounding engines ever made. The normal model is capable of delivering up to 690 horsepower and 508 lb-ft of torque while the SV bumps that to 750 horsepower and little over 530 lb-ft of torque. The end result is that the usual model gets to 60 MPH in just 2.9 seconds and up to a maximum top speed in excess of 217 MPH while the SV gets to 60 MPH in just 2.8 seconds and up to a drag limited top speed of 216 MPH. However, a few publications shown that the base Aventador can hit 60 MPH in just 2.4 seconds and hit 222 MPH with ease, meaning that the SV is even faster than that.
