Koenigsegg makes some of the fastest and more powerful cars in the World as well as some of the rarest. In fact, they built less than 50 cars in the 10 years life span of the model which is incredibly rare, even for a super-car. In comparison, Porsche build 918 models of their 918 Spyder hyper-car which is quite an achievement. The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is the last one to be built and also the most expensive production car which has even been sold. There are only two cars and one of them has been sold to Floyd Mayweather while the other has been sold to a man in Geneva.
Unfortunately, Koenigsegg said that they will not build any other CCXR in any of its form meaning that there are only 49 cars, one of which has been used for crash-testing while the other is still used by the Swedish firm as a development mule for their future model. Just as you would expect from the Trevita, it is the most advanced car to be made by them and it is also the fastest. In fact, it is just as fast as the base model of the Veyron which may not sound like much but it is quite impressive.
Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita Engine
On top of that, it is the fastest car to get from 0 to 124 MPH and then back to 0, achieving all of this in as little as 13 seconds which is faster than some 0 to 60 MPH times of some family cars. Thanks to its engine, the Trevita can get to 60 MPH in 2.9 seconds which is not all that fast but this is because it is a rear wheel driven car meaning it can’t offer the levels of grip of a four wheel drive model. However, it can reach 124 MPH in just 8.8 seconds and more than 200 MPH in around 17 seconds which is faster than any other production car.
This is possible thanks to its specifically developed 4.8 liter twin-supercharged V8 engine which develops 1018 horsepower and 797 lb-ft of torque. This is then mated to an 8 speed manual gearbox with an automatic clutch in order to save as much gear changing time as possible.

Let’s talk a bit about what is so special about the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita. This is the first car to use a special carbon fiber weave which has been developed in-house by them. This uses small batches of carbon fiber weave which is then coated with a diamond finish. This not only makes the car really expensive, it also makes it the only carbon fiber car not to be black. The end result is a silver-like finish which despite looking like it is painted, that is just the color of the carbon fiber weave. However, it not only looks special but it is also stronger than usual thanks to the diamond coating used on the car. Due to this special process, a Trevita costs $4.9 million which is more than four times more than a normal CCXR.
Other special features of the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita include center locking carbon fiber wheels made with the same special process, a double carbon fiber rear wing which is similar to that on the usual CCXR model as well as an inconel exhaust system which is a lot lighter than a normal steel unit. The brakes are carbon ceramic on all four wheels and the car comes as standard with ABS, paddle-shifters, a tire monitoring system as well as a hydraulic lift unit which should allow it to get past speed bumps with ease without damaging its carbon fiber front splitter.
